SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – February 25, 2011–

Informa Investment Solutions (IIS) released the ‘Top Guns of the Decade’ ranking for the ten years ended 12/31/10, including San Antonio based, South Texas Money Management, Ltd. The report analyzes a rolling 10-year period in terms of both returns and risk statistics to determine the top ten performers in each peer group among managers submitting data to IIS’ Plan Sponsor Network (PSN) database.* South Texas Money Management, Ltd. is included in the peer group, All Cap Core Equity Universe.

“I am very proud of this ranking. We have worked very hard to provide consistency in our returns by utilizing a disciplined process and strategic diversification. Wealth is accumulated by “losing less”. Many investors make the mistake of taking risks of which they are not aware. This designation is about performance. At South Texas Money Management, Ltd, we put a great deal of emphasis on service, but clients hire us for financial advice and returns,” said Jeanie Wyatt, CFA, CEO & Chief Investment Officer.

“Over the last ten years, STMM has worked diligently to build a team of talented and highly qualified investment professionals. We are very pleased with the depth and quality of this group.”

About South Texas Money Management

STMM was founded in 2000 by Jeanie Wyatt, CFA. Today, STMM manages approximately $2 billion in assets (as of 2/1/2011), including equity, fixed income, and balanced asset classes, for individuals, trusts, retirement plans, charitable foundations and endowments as well as for bank trust departments and other institutions. Based in San Antonio, STMM has additional offices in Austin, Houston and Dallas. Additional information may be found at * The peer group of All-Cap Core Equity Managers was created using information collected through the PSN investment manager questionnaire. The returns used in determining the ranking do not reflect the deduction of investment management fees. In the event net of fee returns had been used, the rankings may have come out differently. The All-Cap Core Equity peer group includes domestic equity investment products for which managers responding to the PSN manager questionnaire selected “core” as the primary equity style and “All-Cap” or “no primary capitalization” as their primary capitalization range. REIT and convertible products are excluded. Mutual fund and commingled fund products are not included in the universe. The peer group of All-Cap Core Equity Managers who reported to the PSN database for consideration in the ten year ranking is comprised of 53 managers and 65 investment products. Investment products must have an R-Squared of 0.80 or greater relative to the style benchmark (S&P 500 Index) for the latest ten year period and also standard deviation (measure of volatility) less than the style benchmark for the latest ten year period. At this point, the top ten performers for the latest 10 year period become the PSN Top Guns of the Decade. “R-Squared” is a statistical measure that represents the percentage of an investment product’s movements that can be explained by movements in the style benchmark. PSN database information is intended for use by qualified investment professionals. Please consult with an investment professional before making any investment using content or implied content from the “Top Guns of the Decade” ranking.
