Junior Equity Analyst

Son Nguyen joined STMM in July 2009 as a Junior Equity Analyst. His duties include performing fundamental research for our Health Care and Telecommunications sectors as well as monitoring current portfolio holdings.

Prior to joining STMM, Son worked at Smith Barney, where his independent fund research and portfolio analysis helped institutional clients determine asset allocations. He has also served as a researcher at Small Business Development Center National Information Clearinghouse, where he helped identify demographic opportunities and viable business plans for small business owners nationwide.

Son earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Trinity University, double majoring in Finance and Economics. There, Son was a member of the Student Managed Fund program where he was subsequently awarded an "Analyst of the Year" designation for his contribution to the $1 million student-run stock portfolio. Son also served on Trinity Intra-Campus Guidance for Event Resources (TIGER) Council, facilitating implementation of campus events.
