Philosophy

Competitive long term risk adjusted returns can be achieved by controlling downside risk and reducing overall portfolio volatility. This requires rigorous adherence to a time-tested approach of disciplined diversification. To that end, our equity strategy features broad diversification across value and growth styles, economic sectors, and market capitalization (size). Our fixed-income strategy is built with individual, high quality issues.

Asset allocation is the most important aspect of an individual investment plan. Our clients complete a detailed asset allocation questionnaire, which will then be reviewed thoroughly and discussed with an investment advisor. Understanding a client's personal situation, risk, tolerance, and financial goals is critical in determining the proper asset mix. We have found that the proper asset allocation can ease anxiety during economic downturns and in environments characterized by unusually high uncertainty.
