Patricia Ruiz-Healy

Patricia Ruiz-Healy holds an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Latin American Studies, from UT, Austin, and a Master of Arts in Art History from UTSA. She is the author of the recently published book, Mathias Goeritz, the subject of her dissertation.

The owner and director of Ruiz-Healy Art, founded in 2004, has curated 99 exhibitions and published 37 exhibitions catalogues. She was commissioned writers like Dan Cameron, John Phillip Santos, and other scholars, to write essays for the artist’s catalogue exhibits. As an art historian herself, she sees the importance of documentation and of furthering scholarship.

Ruiz-Healy was born at her family ranch in northern México and has lived in London, México City and Miami. San Antonio has been home for over two decades. She now splits her time between NYC and San Antonio.
