Mary M. Hime joined South Texas Money Management as Institutional Business Development Officer in June 2008. She brings broad finance, government relations and management experience to the firm.

Prior to joining STMM, Ms. Hime worked in the government relations department of USAA, a financial services company that serves the military. Prior to that, she worked in Israel as a consultant to the Board of Directors of Electronic Lines. Her efforts were concentrated on investor relations, strategic planning and process improvements.

From 1985 to 2003, Ms. Hime worked for Valero and its predecessor companies in a number of capacities including Vice President of Specialty Products, Director of Investor Relations, and Director of Government Relations. Ms. Hime’s earlier work experience included local, state, and federal government and political campaign positions.

She is a happily married mother of three teenagers. Ms. Hime has served on the boards of several charitable and civic organizations including the Greater Chamber of Commerce. She currently serves as Board Secretary for the Winston School of San Antonio.

Ms. Hime earned a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in finance and a Masters in Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at UT Austin. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and economics from Claremont McKenna College.
