Louisa C. Guthrie is a Managing Director – Investment Sales and Strategy for South Texas Money Management. In this position, she serves on the firm’s Management Team and is responsible for leading STMM’s business development strategy as well as the firm’s open architecture investment consulting offering.

Ms. Guthrie graduated from Dartmouth College with a BA in International Affairs/ French and a specialty in Canadian/American relations. She holds a Certified Wealth Strategist® designation and has completed a number of graduate programs in marketing, corporate finance and strategic leadership. Ms. Guthrie began her career with Chase Manhattan Bank in New York and has held senior level positions with The Citibank Private Bank, Bank of Montreal’s Harris Private Bank, Wells Fargo Private Client Services and Key Private Bank. She is considered an expert on "program sale" approaches to affinity groups, and Life and Career Cycle financial stages, and has served as a media spokesperson on Wealth Management issues.

As a senior family wealth executive with experience on both the operational and relationship management sides of the business, Ms. Guthrie has expertise in a wide range of wealth management services, products and approaches encompassing investment management, fiduciary/legacy services, private banking and financial planning. Specific areas of specialty for Ms. Guthrie include multi-generational issues, transitional client events and lifecycle solutions. She has had consistent success in building profitable businesses, including start-ups, and has served as a consultant to firms looking to leverage industry trends in the North American Family Wealth space.

Ms. Guthrie is active in Dartmouth alumni affairs and recently assumed the Presidency of the College’s Association of Alumni. Ms. Guthrie participates in a variety of charitable and civic organizations and focuses her Board and volunteer work on preventing Homelessness and helping victims of Domestic Violence.
