Devin Benton joined South Texas Money Management as a Business Development Officer in our Dallas office in April 2011. Devin’s primary responsibilities include leading STMM’s business development efforts with our third party relationships in the North Texas region.

Prior to joining STMM, Devin’s career in the financial services industry was highlighted by over a decade of sales & relationship management experience dealing exclusively with sophisticated institutional investors and financial intermediaries. Most recently, Devin served in a relationship management capacity for a large custody and clearing services firm collaborating with broker-dealer clients to improve the operational, trading, and compliance service and functionality.

Devin began his financial services career in 2000 selling complex brokerage and trading solutions to large pensions, foundations & endowments, and investment consultants in the western US and in his home state of Florida. While at his original firm, Devin was eventually selected to spearhead the company’s international sales effort and for five years sold to and managed institutional relationships across the major financial centers of Western Europe. This broad institutional and international experience has provided him with a deep understanding of the global financial markets and how they work to address the investment needs of his clients.

Mr. Benton holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Missouri and earned the Series 7, 63, and 65 FINRA licenses. He is a member of several professional and community organizations in North Texas and served in the U.S. Army from 1996-2000 achieving the rank of Captain.
