SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (June 3, 2014) - South Texas Money Management, Ltd. (STMM) announced that the firm has been named to CNBC's national list of Top 100 Fee-Only Wealth Managers.
"We are thrilled to be part of this inaugural list by CNBC," said Jeanie Wyatt, CFA, CEO and Chief Investment Officer. "I am especially proud due to the thorough formula that was used. It was based on several measures and the ones I am most proud of are our assets under management which are at an all-time high of approximately $2.3 billion (as of 3/31/2014), and our deep bench of professionals who have the designations of CFA, CFP®, MBA, Ph.D., and JD."
Wyatt continued, "South Texas Money Management has accomplished so much in our 14 years. This national recognition by a world leader in business news is quite an honor."
CNBC and Meridian-IQ created a proprietary methodology for its Top 100 Fee-Only Wealth Management Firms rankings. Scores for each of the following measures were weighted according to a proprietary formula to arrive at a final total rank: assets under management, having staff with professional designations such as a CFP® or CFA, working with third-party professionals such as attorneys or CPAs, average account size, client segmentation, growth of assets, years in business, number of advisory clients and providing advice on insurance solutions.
