Daniel Aleman joined South Texas Money Management in October 2000 as the Chief Operations Officer. In 2004, he was named Chief Information Officer for the firm and now oversees the IT department. Mr. Aleman’s additional responsibilities include fee income collection, working closely with the marketing department and being involved with special projects for the firm.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Aleman was an Assistant Vice President at Frost National Bank, where he supervised the planning and development of marketing materials for the Frost Financial Management Group (FMG) and worked closely with Jeanie Wyatt and other departments throughout the bank to ensure smooth integration with the bank’s overall marketing plan.

During his 21 years at Frost Bank, Mr. Aleman handled a variety of investment related and operational responsibilities, spending eight years in Operations, where he was involved in securities operations, fee collections, and the reconciliation of the departmental general ledgers.

He also spent significant time in FMG trade operations, in particular, working with brokerage operations and procedures on a day-to-day basis, as well as supervising the Trade Settlement Division, all experience that equipped him well in his broad responsibilities at South Texas Money Management.
