Barbara Dickson joined South Texas Money Management as a part of the addition of the Dallas office. Prior to joining South Texas Money Management, Barbara co-founded Rutland Dickson Asset Management where she served as the firm’s lead equity manager and strategist. She will serve as a Senior Investment Advisor for STMM.

Barbara began her career in investments at the First National Bank of Palm Beach and joined RepublicBank (later NationsBank) in 1975. While at the bank she was a Quantitative Research Analyst until 1981 when she became a Portfolio Manager. During this time Ms. Dickson earned a Masters Degree in Administrative Science with a major in Finance at the University of Texas at Dallas and an undergraduate degree from Newcomb College of Tulane University.

Ms. Dickson earned her BA from Newcomb College of Tulane University. She is a member of the Dallas Society of Financial Analysts and the CFA Institute. In her spare time, Barbara enjoys reading, hiking, water sports and hunting dogs.
